Basic SEO checklist
Create SEO on custom content Posts/Pages
Create a keyword specific title(only target one keyword or phrase per article)Add location to title
Use Yoast to select a target keyword for the post
Add a featured image that has an SEO title
Use H2 and H3 headings to further support your keyword
Create a minimum of 600 words of original content. DO NOT COPY FROM ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
Use LSI keywords in your content to build relevancy
Create internal links to other pages, posts and categories on your site.
Add external links to google products ie. Link to a map location for something referenced on your post.
Include original images titled properly
Add alt tags to your images
Include captions for images if it is relevant
Ensure images are sized for the space. DO NOT USE OVERSIZED IMAGES
Create SEO title and meta information. Include your main keyword and location in both.
Create slug with the post title, keywords, and location
Add relevant post categories for easier navigation
Add call to action buttons
Ensure your Yoast score is green for SEO
Check readability and fix where necessary
Use external website forums and comment areas to build reputable backlinks to your content.
*DO NOT SPAM HIGH DOMAIN AUTHORITY SITES. Obtain permission from the site webmaster to add your link if you are unsure.
